DR. KALOGIROU
I am a graduate of Aristotelion University’s (Greece ) medical school and started my training in paediatrics in Cyprus initially , followed by 8 years of training in UK .

During my time in UK I rotated around four of London’s teaching hospitals : West Middlesex University Hospital , King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas and Princess Royal University Hospital. Apart from my general paediatric training I have also trained in the following fields : paediatric neurology ( 6 months) , paediatric endocrinology( 6 months) , paediatric intensive care ( 6 months) and developmental paediatrics ( 6 months) . I have also worked as a fellow in paediatric allergy at King’s college Hospital for a period of 2 months. In addition I have spent 18 months in King’s college hospital paediatric A&E department which is one of the largest in London and a major trauma centre. During my last year in the UK I was appointed as a locum consultant paediatrician at King’s college Hospital NHS Foundation trust.
In an era of increasing sub- specialization I see myself as a ‘’generalist’’ and take a broad and holistic approach towards my patients . I am registered with the GMC , I have a diploma in child's health from the Royal college of Physicians ( Ireland ) and I am a member of the Royal College of paediatrics - UK ( membership number 224680) . I have an up to date neonatal life support training certificate from the UK resuscitation council.
I treat a wide range of paediatric problems but I have a particular interest in developmental paediatrics. I am certified in Bayley scales III assessment tool . I am the clinical lead for the screening program for early identification of developmental problems in children , which is ran by the center for preventive paediatrics.
